about

Hi, I’m Burak Aşık—a software systems engineer with over five years of experience designing and building web-based solutions. In recent years, I’ve been diving into game development, where I’ve found a new creative outlet that blends logic, systems thinking, and interactivity.

I’m passionate about creating meaningful and engaging experiences through technology—whether it’s a digital product, a backend system, or a game that pulls you in. My journey began in industrial engineering, which gave me a strong foundation in systems thinking and practical problem-solving. Over time, I gravitated toward software development, exploring a wide range of tools, frameworks, and platforms. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats—from developing CI/CD pipelines to shaping product roadmaps—as both a technical product manager and a game developer.

More recently, I’ve been channeling my skills into game design and development. I released Boulder Mayhem, a fast-paced arcade game for iOS, and I’m currently preparing to launch TileBorn, a strategy-puzzle game focused on hexagonal tile placement. My time at AdSoprano also gave me hands-on experience with in-game monetization strategies and mobile UX, further sharpening my product mindset.

Outside of work, I’m deeply into music and tactile creativity. I play drums and electric guitar, collect vinyl records, and enjoy building LEGO sets and hi-fi music systems. I like to build things—whether it’s a game level, a tight feedback loop, or a physical setup that just works. These hobbies not only ground me, but often inspire my design and development work as well.

I believe in staying curious, being humble, and always making space for better ideas. These values shape how I work and learn—especially when tackling tough challenges or exploring unfamiliar territory.

This website is a small corner of the web where I document and share what I’ve been working on or thinking about. You’ll likely find posts about game development, software systems, or just interesting problems that caught my attention. Occasionally, I’ll share lessons I’ve learned, roadblocks I’ve run into, or side projects I’m experimenting with.

If anything here helps, resonates, or just makes you pause—that’s more than enough.
